Facebook has canceled the in-person sizing of F8, the company's record developer conference, due to coronavirus concerns. F8 was originally scheduled to take place on May 5th as well-built as May 6th latterly this year.
Instead, Facebook says that it will replace the mall F8 briefing with "locally hosted events, videos as well-built as live-streamed content."

In a blog post further explaining the eligibility to cancel the conference, Facebook's director of developer platforms as well-built as programs Konstantinos Papamiltiadis said that "we overeat to pronounce the health as well-built as safety of our developer partners, execs as well-built as everyone who helps put F8 on."
Papamiltiadis goes on to roster that Facebook explored over-and-above options to radiate the briefing to go forward except ended that it was "important to us to host an inclusive event as well-built as it didn't finger seasonable to hypothesize F8 without our international developers in attendance."
F8 isn't the first major tech event to be canceled due to the coronavirus outbreak: Mobile Apple Congress was canceled eldest in February due to similar referring over the virus. Meanwhile, GDC 2020 has seen multiple major companies as well-built as developers pull out due to simultaneous fears, including Unity, Sony, Cyberbanking Arts, Facebook, Kojima Productions, as well-built as Microsoft's Game Stack team, although the briefing itself is still planned to take place next month.
