Biometric security has moved beyond just fingerprints and face recognition to vein-based authentication. Unfortunately, hackers have previously figured out a way in order to crack that, too. Based to Motherboard, security experts at the Chaos Conversation Congress hacking conference inside Leipzig, Germany showed a model wax hand that they used to beat a vein authentication system by using a wax model hand.

Vein authentication typically uses a computer system to check the shape, size plus location of a individual's veins in their hand. Those patterns have to be determined each time the device scans the individuals hand. To be able to fool that security check, the experts took 2, 500 images of a hand using a modified SLR camera that will had the infrared filtration system removed to better emphasize veins under the skin. They then took those pictures and developed feel hand with the details of the person's veins sculpted right in. That wax mock-up was enough in order to bypass the vein authentication system.

To be clear, the method utilized by the security researchers isn't the one which the average person could easily replicate.
