Lenovo has released the Hook-up Chromebook, a 10-inch 2-in-1 that runs Chrome OS. The measly model, which has 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, and a MediaTek processor, expenses $279, except pigeonholed the $299 model, which has 128GB of storage, appears to be listed at Best Buy seemly now.
That's an bonny price, expressly back over-and-above malicious assailing Chromebook releases this year hypothesize asked over $700. We hypothesize the Duet's spaciousness (10 inches is pretty small) and underpowered processor to thank for that. Except Chrome OS doesn't require as numerous horse power as Windows -- and it's practicable we'll see a battery-life upkeep from the weaker dint as well.
I've spent a few days with the new Chromebook, and it's been fun to use so far. The device is easy to flip inserted laptop and typeface use -- it ships with a kickstand, keyboard, and touchpad, which are a no-brainer to fold, attach, and detach.
The keyboard and touchpad are (understandably) cramped, except they're usable, and I've gotten used to them hind a few days. The bunched disport will be limiting if you solidly want to multitask, except if you're nonbelligerent browsing and YouTube watching, it renders a nice, crispy picture. And at nonbelligerent over two pounds, it's solidly a light product and solidly easy to handbag circa in a nunny-bag or purse.
Essentially, don't foresee to use the Hook-up Chromebook as a primary workstation, except it is shaping up to be a solid secondary browsing device or a nice choice for kids. Stay witting for our galore scrutiny of the product latterly this week.
