Update: Google has officially spoken the changes. Prevenient story follows:
Google severely has a big Gmail redesign in the works that could let you interact with colleagues, assignment on Google Docs, and talk over Google Meet all after abrogation Gmail. Leaked images of the redesign were spotted on Google's website for the Google Haziness Abutting '20: OnAir event by Twitter user Tahin Rahman (via Android Police).
In the redesign, there are now tabs for Mail, Chat, Rooms, and Meet. The Natter tab looks to take you to your conversations with people, while Shelter spoken to be spaces for topic-based conversations, agnate to Slack channels. The Meet tab shows your upcoming Google Meet meetings and suggestions for who you numen appetite to contact. (The Meet tab numen squint familiar -- Google already spoken in June that it was coming to Gmail's iOS and Android apps.)
.. .Other slides warn by Rahman show that you'll be actualized to put a conversation and a Google Doc side by side while in Gmail, assuasive you to interact on the certificate and discuss it in resolving time. .. .In January, it was reported that Google was aiming to unify its workplace tools and messaging apps beneath one mobile app, and it seems possible these leaked slides are simulating the fruits of that labor. Since the engendering of the COVID-19 pandemic, the congregation has rapidly bolstered its collaboration tools, including rebranding Hangouts Meet to Google Meet, dividing new features to Meet (and making it determining for everyone), and converting Hangouts Natter for excitement users to Google Chat.
Update, July 15th, 5:17PM ET: Google has officially spoken that the changes are coming to G Apartment for Gmail, therefrom we have married to our credenda on that at the top of this story.
