Judging from Musk's tweet, Tesla's 2FA will be awaited via SMS and authenticator apps, which are generally contemplated increasingly secure. Musk said aftermost year that Tesla was alive on "foundational upgrades" to Tesla's helpers operating system and would be introducing 2FA unhesitatingly after. Tesla's app basically serves as a key for the company's latest models, arrogation shipped locking and unlocking, betwixt over-and-above options.
Tesla cartage are often considered pretty theft-proof, as they include always-on GPS which lets owners track their vehicles. The convergence introduced PIN lawmaking entry for its cars in 2018. But ciphering 2FA, which requires infiltrating a lawmaking generated from a separate device (usually a smartphone), will add yet culling line of security for its keyless eruption systems.
Musk did not say back Tesla's 2FA would be available.
