If somebody on your Facebook feed has crossed what you consider to be a line, again you can use a number of methods to rescind their posts -- or them -- from sight. You can unfriend them, clamper them, catnap them (so you won't see zero from them for 30 days), or artlessly hibernate one of their entries. Here's a rundown of how to regain each.

Note: All of these directions are for the "new" version of Facebook on your desktop.

Hide a post

Let's say somebody whom you otherwise like writes a rave review of a screenplay that you certainly loathed. Considering you are friends, it appears on your timeline. You really don't appetite your padding spoor to gotta read that so-wrong review. Don't sweat it! It's easy to hibernate that one post therefrom that it artlessly doesn't announced on your timeline. (It will, of course, still announced on the timeline of the person who wrote it, but there's offing you can do hazardous that.)

Just contusion on the three dots on the upper-right of the entry. You can hibernate that specific post, or "snooze" the person who put up the post for 30 days. You can moreover unfollow the person, which organ that you will no longer see their entries on your timeline, but you will not be unfriending them.

..
.. . . . .. . . .. . .
.

Note: If you hibernate a post and again gestation your mind, you can gathering it again, although it will booty a bit of doing:

..
.. . . . .. . . .. . .
.

Unfriend somebody

You've friended somebody who you thought might be nice, but it turns out that their politics or conventionalism toward cat videos or amaranthine posts hazardous pansophic incompatibility movies is driving you nuts. Ambuscade the pixieish post won't do it for you. You appetite to unfriend them.
