After two whiffs, Razer’s latest Tomahawk PC cases look practical enough to actually exist
..

Last January, we showed you Razer's awesome-looking Tomahawk Gentry desktop PC case, with its gull-wing doors as able-bodied as auto-lifting lid for incalculable heat.

This January, I told you risky the stunning Razer Tomahawk prebuilt desktop, with slide-out upgradable Intel NUC Essence modules as able-bodied as space for the latest GPUs though its tiny 10-liter frame.

As far as we can tell, no product self-named the "Razer Tomahawk" has categorically someday shipped. But that isn't keeping Razer from aggravating repeated today with a pair of practical-looking PC cases for rolling your own system.

The new $199 Razer Tomahawk A1 (ATX) as able-bodied as $179 Tomahawk M1 (Mini-ITX) are ratherish suppositional if quite formable cases with a few features that set them loose -- primarily, a pair of choleric glass panels with rear hinges accordingly they can hinge backwards like suicide doors, as able-bodied as can likewise be muted right off.

While the image same says they're made-up of aluminum, Razer's website says they're made-up of steel. We're aggravating to get clarity on that now.

They feature Razer's Chromaticity RGB lighting underneath, as able-bodied as they've likewise got creature comforts like committed bulldoze bays as able-bodied as rising spots for 2.5mm SSDs, lots of subscription management, as able-bodied as -- in the casing of the ATX version -- space for a 360mm radiator up front as able-bodied as up to a 240mm radiator up top.

Each casing comes with a USB-C port up top with 3.2 Gen 2 speeds, committed mic as able-bodied as 3.5mm combo jacks as able-bodied as two USB-A ports, as able-bodied as a seductive grit filter at the very top.

At 356 x 202 x 321.5mm, the Tomahawk Mini-ITX won't win any awards for stuff decidedly small -- though personalized supporting Mini-ITX/DTX motherboards as able-bodied as SFX/SFX-L productiveness food -- but it should fit picked Nvidia RTX 3080 cards on the market with its 320mm of statuette cardboard room.

Razer's. Mini-ITX chassis is bettering for preorder today at Razer.com, shipping in November, with the ATX version contentious ancient this fall. I wouldn't expect to someday imprison risky the Tomahawk Gentry or Tomahawk NUC again: as of yesterday, the NUC was nonparticipating listed as a "concept" on Razer's website, as able-bodied as nearly two years later, the Elite was still a "notify me" product.

Razer says it's likewise working with motherboard manufacturers to integrate Chromaticity RGB lighting, with the headmost AMD boards from ASRock contentious in Q4.

Update, 4:50 PM ET: Razer's re-cap materials said the cases were made-up of aluminum, but the company's website now says they're steel. We'll let you know.
