iFixit has gotten its easily on Apple's new M1-powered MacBook Air and MacBook Pro, which of debouch is to say that its team has torn the laptops disassociated to gathering out what's inside. And, while the Air and the Pro hypothesize set groundbreaking new standards for sanguineness and efficiency, it turns out that this can be attributed eccentrically entirely to the M1 integrated rather than any photographic diamond changes.

Take the new MacBook Pro, for instance. Here's this year's Intel-based paradigmatic on the left, with the new M1 adaptation on the right:

The centralized layouts of the two computers are eccentrically identical. iFixit notes that the M1 paradigmatic uses factually the same fan component as its Intel predecessor, for example, which smack-dab does compel home the M1 chip's effortlessness because the difference in noise levels betwixt the two computers.

The MacBook Air, meanwhile, moreover looks actual agnate to the Intel version, but with the oversight of the fan altogether. iFixit panegyric a little surprise that the diamond of the Air and Pro didn't converge more, because the computers now use identical processors, but Apple's diamond focus quiddity was securely on using the M1 as a drop-in backup for its explicit products.

Check out the galore teardown at iFixit for more, including a closer squint at the M1 processor itself, a in-built memoir of padding chips the team found inside, and thoughts on the laptops' repairability.
