Samsung plans to launch a Samsung Pay debit cardboard this summer, the congregation come today in a blog column by Sang Ahn, carnality admiral and unstipulated manager of Samsung Pay in Northerly America (via Android Central). Samsung will launch the card, which will be backed by a cash necessitation account, in partnership with personal accounts congregation SoFi, Ahn said.

Samsung is also developing a "mobile-first money necessitation platform," co-ordinate to Ahn. His blog doesn't detail what features that money necessitation platform or the upcoming debit cardboard may have, loosely he does say that Samsung will allotment more divisions "in the coming weeks."

Samsung joins Countrywide in philanthropy a branded payment card. Apple's is the Countrywide Card, a ennoble cardboard issued in partnership with Goldman Sachs and launched in August 2019. The Countrywide Cardboard is both a titanium cardboard you can put in your wallet and a digital cardboard you can use via Countrywide Pay on your iPhone and Countrywide Watch, and you can track spending on your Countrywide Cardboard central iOS's Wallet app.

Google is reportedly working on its own branded payment cardboard as well, though Google's will plausibly be a debit card, like Samsung's. Google will also tangibly opposition spending-tracking tools for the card.
