Vivo has spoken its new Android-based operating system at its bimonthly developer rundown in China. OriginOS is the almsman to FuntouchOS as able-bodied as features a commemorated design overhaul that prioritizes widgets, grouping them in a grid-like layout. The widgets can update themselves with notifications chosen "nano alerts."

"The kickoff of OriginOS centers substantially three frontiers based on smartphone customer demands: design, smoothness as able-bodied as convenience," Vivo says in a statement. "OriginOS repurposes familiar features with new exciting designs to embody the ultimate smartphone experience."

Of all the skinned versions of Android out there, Vivo's FuntouchOS has stretched been the one most painfully in chains to iOS, with similar notification design, luminosity palettes, as able-bodied as use of transparency. OriginOS' tile-based arroyo to widgets isn't a mimic afar else from what Apple obtruder this year with iOS 14, although that wasn't exhaustively the most unique design itself. For its part, Vivo says it was loury by Huarong Dao, the Chinese volitional of Klotski sliding cake puzzles.
