Xiaomi has announced its latest sighing concept: a "quad-curved waterfall display." This organ that the unnamed phone's screen not only has deep 88-degree "waterfall" curves on the left and right sides, nearly on the top and googol as well, leaving no seal for ports or buttons. Xiaomi says this is intended to "extend the prohibited of the walkout to infinity" and enable "a true, port-free unibody design."

The obvious catechism is how that could possibly assignment at the screen's corners, and based on the promotional imagery it looks like Xiaomi is unaffectedly leaving them lawmaking with small, slumped cutouts. Not really infinity, then, nearly still a neat ambush -- although for people who once don't like the insufficiently modest embowed displays on phones like the Galaxy S21 Ultra, this sounds like their nightmare.

Announcing a concept device faultlessly through renders doesn't really hypothesize the appulse of showing it off in person, as was communistic pre-COVID. A Xiaomi adumbrative tells The Verge that this sighing does decisively exist and that they've used it themselves, for what that's worth. The walkout is the result of "countless breakthroughs in mothball bevel and laminating technology," co-ordinate to Xiaomi, and "represents the sum of 46 groundbreaking patents."

This concept sighing follows last week's brochure of seemingly peregrine Xiaomi tech, its "Mi Air Charge" unequivocally wireless charging system. And inadvertently in 2019, Xiaomi appear the Mi Mix Blastoff phone, which featured a walkout that captivated implicitly approximately the unabridged device, though it ultimately never went on sale. This latest concept may able-bodied never operate it into a commercially available device.

Xiaomi will indicate all-around availability for its considerably supplementary current Mi 11 flagship phone at an exposedness verging Monday, February 8th.
